Connecting Plasma TV to NTL Digital+ Box

    Hi All,

I have just ordered an NTL Digital+ Box today and I have a Series 4 Samsung Plasma telly.

I need help as I'm trying to find out what way is the best way to connect these 2 devices.

I have just renovated a house and have put piping in behind the wall so that I can mount the TV and hide all cabling. The only problem here is that a scart head cable will not fit!

I was looking at different options on the web and one I came up with was getting a scart to audio/video component cable...

Will this option work or is there a better one?

Sorry I am not very technically minded so any replies in the plainest of English would be appreciated!!

    Thanks in advance

Do the NTL box and the TV have hdmi sockets?

The TV has HDMI outlets, however the NTL box does not

you can take the plastic covers off scart cables and then feed the cable through and then reattach the plastic heads.

see the scart head on the left? first unscrew the collar at the base of the head/top of the cable. then at the right hand side of the head is where it clips open. this will leave you with a scart cable and the silver connector. just feed that through the wall and then put the plastic cover back on.

you can also use scart (at ntl box) to rca cables to the tv. scart to scart would be the better option as this would carry RGB (higher quality) signals.
