Today the 9th of May marks Europe Day - a celebration of peace and unity.

Heres to the organization that has helped prevent all of us Europeans from continually killing each other, and that has revolutionized the continent by finally facilitating dialog between all the member nations!

    Possibly boring history part:
Today 59 years ago some guy called Schuman made a declaration that Germany and France should pool its coal and steel to facilitate economic development and to curb war (which needs lots of coal and steel). The ECSC was formed out of which came the EU as we know it today.

    Happy Europe Day!
