While conducting a search of this house on Tranquility Lane, Constance Bay, Ottawa Police located and seized a number of syringes containing psilocybin medium (spores) as well as dried cannabis marihuana on March 6, 2009.

OTTAWA — More than 1,100 marijuana plants worth an estimated $1 million were seized from a Constance Bay home after police found hidden marijuana grow-ops in the basement that were accessible only by what they call a “secret door.”

“As the door was triggered open, officers observed three rooms, each containing clandestine laboratories,” Staff Sgt. Pete Gauthier wrote in a release.

Police also seized almost 2,000 grams of marijuana and 12 grams of psilocybin in the March 6 raid on 4405 Tranquility Lane.

Psilocybin is a hallucinogenic organic compound used to make magic mushrooms. Together with the marijuana plants, police say the drugs have a total street value of more than $1.18 million.

Leonard Cameron, 49, was arrested and charged with several drug-related offences, including production of marijuana and possession for the purpose of trafficking.

The investigation was conducted jointly by the Ottawa Police Drug Unit and Hydro One.

The provincial utility initiated its own investigation in August 2007, police said. It was investigating the residence for theft of power, which police describe as a common occurrence when “illicit drug laboratories” are operating in a home."

Ahhh, The Ottawa Citizen, that bastion of truth. If the Cit doesn't know Psilocybin is not a hallucinogenic organic in magic mushroom then nobody ever will.

"The press" as represented here by The Ottawa Citizen are not all the same - like people.

Cheers for the Wikipedia link too.
