Lone Parent payment & holidays

Hi all
I booked a holiday last year but I am not working anymore, i am getting the lone parent payment at the moment, the money is paid into my bank account, do i have to tell anyone that i am going away?

TEchnically you are supposed to, and what will happens is your allowance will be stopped while you are away. You then let them let know when you are back within about three/four working days the amount you missed will be repaid.
However, I have been claiming this for almost 3 years and was compeletely oblivious to this fact even though I play by the rules. Last july i started claiming back my stamps as well as my LPA and as instructed i let them know when I would be out of the country only to arrive home and find my LPA han not been paid while I was. Followed by major panic, as I know I do my Headed directly to my local dole office and to the hatch thats deals with lone parents, only to discover in the past three years technically i had been obliged to let thek know ut I was reassured it was no major issue as LPA is paid into the bank.
