Rome - 'city fees' for civil wedding

    Hi all,
I contacted a wedding planner in Rome and apart from their professional fee, they claim that for a wedding hall for a civil ceremony

"City Fees during week days: Euro 1200; at week ends Euro 1400".

This is the first I've heard of such a fee and it seems high - I think a church is about EUR 400.

Does anyone know if these fees are correct?

    Hi

My son and his girlfriend booked their Rome wedding in February. They have just heard that the cost has gone from £400 to £1,400 pounds. This apparently applies to all foreigners getting married from 20.4.09.
