Harbour Police

    I know there use to be a Harbour Police section in Dublin and Dun Laorighe port.

    I know the service is more or less gone now in Dublin Port replaced by private security. Has anybody ever dealt with them in Dun Laorighe?

    They have similar power to the APS but derive there powers from a Harbour Act i think. Do officer carry handcuffs, vests etc?

    Just curious i remember seeing a ford transit with Harbour Police markings/ Blue lights on it bout 2 years ago was there ever anymore vehicles.
