Anything you like about DCU?

Since people are giving out a lot, is there anything you actually like in dcu?

clubs & socs is still enjoyable. tried a few different in my first year [yoga, capoeira, pool] but really enjoyed the mma club. even set up an intervarsities that we came second in. the old bar is still fun [when open] but they need to do away with the charge on 'super' tuesdays. also have to say i'm still taken a back by the great atmosphere of the place as having been used to clicks in secondary & a brief stint in ITT i've noticed that within engineering it doesn't seem to exist what so ever.

well that's my two cents [or is that now one cent due to the recession?]

i find that course stuff gets in the way of socialising & sports

really enjoying my course so far but will enjoy it more next year when i don't have to do subjects i don't need

All my lecturers are pretty awesome, my course is interesting and I've great friends. Couldn't ask for much more, really.

I like that its small, modern and everything is only a 5 minute walk away.

I like that the 'toff' count is almost non existent as Daddy wouldn't like

At the end of the day, as much as we complain about trispace, the SU, the College View, the Henry Gratton, Nick the groundskeeper, Campus res, the biscuit-faced library woman,communication students and so on.. We are in the best damn college in Ireland and we all love it!!! :P

I like the fact there are no existentialists lazing around or politics students trying to talk me into voting for their pimp or pretentious twats who spend their days trying to look cool by wearing cardigans and skinny jeans.... actually hang on im not sure about that last one...;);)

I used to be partial to them myself but then I noticed that all their chicken is sourced from thailand so i stopped...

Have to say I love my course (CCS) and there's a great bunch of people doing it. A couple of the college balls were pretty enjoyable (M****** anyone?) and when the bar is open there's a pretty good atmosphere in the place.
