I know it's wrong to wear jerseys that have not been earned, but... it's pink!

If there is nothing in that jersey, why does it have nipples?..oh! there is...

    Retro pink.

Tell us Raam, how did it all begin for you? Was it happening across the Vuelta on Eurosport in one of those so-pissed-I-can't-sleep-hazes after you'd stumbled in some night at 2am? Did your bleary vision drunkenly scan across the screen before zeroing in some bloke in a pink jersey? Did a long buried impulse beaten out of you years before by the Christian Brothers reassert itself? How long did you watch before you noticed the pink shirt wearer was on a bike, was in fact engaged in a race? Did a light bulb go off in your head: "I too could wear pink in a public context without having the unholy piss ripped out of me if I joined the brotherhood (or sisterhood) of the wheel*"?

Or is this simply my fevered imagination?

    [*Thinking of copyrighting this incidentally.]

Pink rocks, as my extensive collecition of pink jerseys will testify, but I wouldn't buy a maglia rosa.

If I could get that colour, but not a maglia rosa, I would. Not the lighter pink colours though.

I bought it and plan on wearing it tomorrow.
Having tried it on, it is very very comfy (and pretty cheap).
Look, I know that its not Euro to wear a leaders jersey, but it is sooooo nice, soooo comfy and great value. Designed by D&G no less.
Dont ask "Why do I Want This?" - instead ask, why would I not get it:D.

@Dirk, I have a similar pair of campy blue shorts to those - again, very very comfy, and I think that it would go very well with this jersey.

It is highly desirable, have lusted after it myself, but was equally conflicted by the not having earned it rule.

It seems almost allowable though, not like anyone would be pretending they actually participated in the race.

You could think of it as an hommage to the Giro.
