It's on RAI Sport, on Hotbird (@13East), 11804Mhz, Vertical, 27500k/s.

Coverage starts at 10am our time with some cycling documentaries (I think), then an intro at 11am, rider profiles at 13:00, breaks at 13:30 to give some general sports news, then more profiles and 15:20 to 17:00 is coverage of the race itself.

Any true 'Euro' cyclist would swing their dish about 15 degrees to the right for it.

Just relax into the Italian (and very few advertisements), some red wine will help you understand the commentary.

But not very 'Euro', and only 2 hours. Where's your commitment?

yeah, but if I sign up today will I be able to have 'direct' access for tommorow, or does someone (physically) have to do some admin on their side (time) before I get to log in and see it? (w/end)

Go to filmon.com and download the player... eurosport is available on it.

<edit> or maybe not, seems to have dropped off now </edit>

It's instant when you sign up, and Eurosports coverage is just about the longest there is unfortunately

Riddled with advertising, usually during the vital moves & dull-as-dishwater commentary, and only 2 hours.

RAI Sport direct is 5 hours with lots of background coverage. You'd be surprised how much you can pick up from the captions, the odd word of Italian (gets easier once you 'tune-in' to the accents), and you can supplement it with the English-language text commentary from Cycling News.

Have a look on justin.tv. It's usually pretty good for free streams.
