Where's the safest place to lock up the bike near there? I know i saw somewhere list a series of places where you can in Dublin, but i can't seem to find it...

I wouldn't try to get there from here.

Seriously, do you have a decent lock? It's a bit scobe-tastic around there. You could lock your bike in Grand Canal Dock, outside Fresh. There's a security guard there, and it's open till about 9. You can walk down to the toll bridge and across to the Point. Or park around Gordon St/South Dock St, which is a residential area, I'd happily leave my bike there.

If there's a gig on, you can lock up on the railings beside the river -quite a few people do (myself included), and it was grand

Was there on Wed. night waiting on my brother and watching people arriving on bikes locking them against the railings along the river. Made a point of noting the type of locks but most seemed to be the wire type. Loads of bikes there tho. Anyways the brudder arrived and just padlocked and chained his machine to a lampost right outside the main entrance and was untouched after the gig (and during it). There were loads of gardai and security about.
