    A 6L bottle of Saint-Feuillien Triple (Mathusalem) for 165 euro available in Redmonds of Ranelagh! The bottle are specially made for each batch are them self's worth a few euro

    It's probably because they're champagne bottles. Getting that sort of bottle made especially for beer would probably be hideously expensive.

    In Cantillon on bottling day I was quite surprised that the delivery of fresh empties were all just standard champagne bottles from a French manufacturer.

    Yea true as i think the big ones are all hand blown and champagne/ sparkling wine is probable the biggest consumes of such bottles

    Hmmm.

    165 Euro ?

    We are lucky, thats our food budget for 3 weeks ( including the dog )
