I'm still learning Logic (and Mac & OSX for that matter) since my recent migration form PC. So maybe I'm doing something wrong here.... but creating a chord track in Logic seems weird. The chords I'm programing are not the notes I'm hearing. Anyone else used it with success or otherwise?

I don't understand what you mean by "chord track".
Are you referring to the chord lane in global tracks or writing chords on the piano roll. If you are more specific I should be able to help.

ANY help would be great. As I'm still so new to Logic at this depth I've no idea if I'm encountering bugs, am misunderstanding something or just being a tired fool who has spent too long in front of my screen these last few days :o

I'm referring to the chord lane in global tracks, page 661 of Logic 8 user manual. I have an apple loop drum beat with some guide vocals and guitar that are all fine. I was auditioning Disco Pickbass 3 (a green apple loop) and wanted it to follow the chords automatically like I have read it can. So I played the chords of the song in on an Apple midi piano instrument, opened the global chord track, selected the midi piano chords and hit analyse on the chord track. This auto populated the chord track with the right chords but when I repeat or drag and drop the Disco Pickbass 3 midi event it sometimes deviates heavily from the song key and sounds horrible e.g. giving me a F-sharp under a B-flat. Ouch!

Any pointers would be super bloody dooper.

I've given up on this. It seems Logic has its flaws.

    Sorry. Been busy.
I will check it out during the week. It is a feature I have never used to be honest.
