Hope this is not a silly question.....

Would it be possible to align three LNBs (for Astra 1 , Astra 2 and Hotbird) on a Triax 80 dish in one place say Navan receiving channels on all three satellite at optimum quality and then bring it ready to be put up in Dublin 3?

Did you set it up yourself or was it set up by a professional in the business?

    What type and size dish?
    Are all channels satisfactory?
    Does rain disrupt?

(I will be watching the TNT service (France) , the BBCs ITVs and other channels on Hotbird (French and English) and the plethora of radio channels on all three...
Radio France has resolved its problems with Astra 1 so they are all back on, I understand.)

    You'll never get 1W and 28E on a 80cm dish.

OP, I have a Triax 88cm dish with a multiblock that I set up myself and (at the moment) I get 19E, 13E, 1W and 5W but I had to modify the multiblock to give 1W priority as it is the weakest, Astra 1, 2 and Hotbird will be very simple, bit of trial 'n' error at first and very helpful if you can see TV from the dish and align for Quality more than strength.

You can get just aboout 7E to 28E on one non-Toriod dish, by pointing it at 13E. You might get a few stronger 5E channels when it's not raining.

If you want 1W to 28E on one dish you need a T90.

Even so 1.1m to 1.4m is recommended for 1W in Ireland.

19E to 1W is similar range to 28E to 7E

Actually, this is easier than I thought! If you get the matching Triax Multiblock holder for your LNB's the manual actually shows you the spacings of the LNB's in mm's so really easy to set up!

But is that spacing in mm's really ideally suited for German market? That is the case with monoblocks. They are great for central europe but if you want to get as much as possible quality in Ireland you are better off not using monoblocks

It's got different Cities listed including Dublin :D

Go for the Dublin figure and then fine tune as it is affected by exact location and Dish Geometry.

    As an aside
Mono blocks are REALLY poor for Ireland

    Very limited:
    * difficult to expand
    * spacing fixed so only suitable certain combination of location, satellites and dish.

The spacing varies for same pair of satellites according to lat & long.

The spacing varies according to which pair of satellites at same location.

The spacing varies according to exact Dish geometry.

Monoblocs are primarily two kinds for German Market, for a particular dish
23.5E & 19.2E (I tried a Quad one of these for 28E and 23.5, but had to mount it upside down as otherwise 28.2 is "2", no good for didgibox)
    also
    13E & 19.2E

For those satellites the spacing is wrong in Ireland.
