    Think of it like this.

Your man is holding up his fower in front of a group, and saying "this is a flower"

    Is blath é seo

Then he is out walking with his madra and he points to a flower growing nearby and says to the dog "is blah e sin" That is a flower.

    does that make sense?;)

Irishguy- could you write your question a little more clearly next time so that it's easier to read?!

Took me a few minutes to decipher it. :)

I think he means 'Doesn't 'seo' mean 'this' and 'sin' mean 'that' and wants to know why the CD has translated 'seo' in the sentence as 'that' instead of 'this'.

I've only just started learning Irish so while I understand what FlutterinBantam is saying, I can't offer any help. The grammar confuses me too! Then again I guess we all had to learn English grammar.

    spot on
on the cd he said in irish "is bláth e seo comh maith" then he said that in english that means "thats also a flower"
"is bláth e seo comh maith" = "thats also a flower"
should it not be "is bláth e sin comh maith"???
