    Hi,

I bought a macbook pro about 18 months ago. I love thise machine but i have not much use for it anymore as while originally i bought the macbook for doing some design work in and after college i am not using it as much for that now and more so for surfing the web, listening to music, watching dvds etc. . I cant live without a laptop as i am so used to having one around. So what i need to know is can anyone recomend a laptop that would be a good replacemnt for the macbook. I was considering one of those smaller 10-12 inch laptops. I can spend in and around 600 bucks. Ideally i would like it to be a fast machine for downloading and a nice bit of space for music and movies etc

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

    Frag

there is nothing wrong with tha macbook pro. i love it. however i dunno if i ca afford to keep up repayments on it and it may have to go back so i was looking for a cheap alternative. If i had my way i would keep it nd i my very well keep it but in the possibility i cant keep it i want a good cheap alternative.

I went to meet Duncan Stewart to show him my work and my 2 week old Macbook Pro gave out on me. Locked up whilst it was trying to find a network. Restarted it and again, kept locking up. When he left because he was tight for time I got back to my car and viola - nothing wrong. tut tut.

Get a second hand powerbook, you'll harldy notice the difference, it's still a very good laptop even by todays standards, I've a 2004 powerbook and it does the job perfectly...
Might even sell you mine if you ask nicely;)
