I went to view a car on Wednesday, it was just in stock and had just been added to the dealers website a few hours earlier, dealer gave me the price as it was on the website and carzone.

I'm going to view it again on sat, but the price on the website (and carzone) has increased by 500 notes! :(

Any idea what I should say to the dealer?

    "Hello" is a good start.

Ask him why the price went up? Just bargain as normal with the knowledge that the price went up?

You ignore what he says about the price and offer what you think it's worth. A car is only ever worth what a buyer is willing to pay. So he gave you one price. Forget about the subsequent increase....it's irrelevant.

Ask him why the price went up from last week.
Its his right to charge what he wants for whatever he thinks he'll get for the car, to get a bit of extra space to put against a trade-in or maybe he had an unknown cost to put into the car, e.g. timing-belt or bodywork.
    No deal was done unfortunately.
Dont let that stop you, haggle hard all the same.
