Advent 9112 battery

    This is a rather specific question so hopefully someone with experience will be able to help me.

    Some time ago I bought an Advent 9112 laptop for college purposes. I can't remember the exact price but I remember thinking it was an absolute bargain for its specs at the time. The only problem is the rubbish battery. Now I know people always leave the mains plugged in and the battery in at the same time and then come here to complain when that depletes the battery life. But this is not the same thing; the battery on this has always been awful, less than an hour usually (and I use Kubuntu which as I understand is les demanding on the battery than Windows), and all the reviews agree that this is really the one big drawback of the laptop. It's a 4-cell Lithium ion IIRC.

    My question is, is there anywhere I could buy a new, better battery for this laptop? It's an unusual shape and I haven't really seen anywhere offering them. But has anyone by any chance had some luck in this area?
