    Yeah, it's terrible the way everyone will be forced to see this. Especially the way they're horrendously butchering a franchise that was clearly a bastion of creative integrity focusing primarily on storytelling, rather than, say, updating a cartoon that was basically a half-hour advert for a range of toys.

    That being said, the combat suits make it look like a Halo movie.

    So how is your childhood being raped, then? Is the film going to somehow travel back in time, rummage around in your wardrobe and change all your action figures into Halo lookalike exoskeleton-wearing things?

    I get that it might be a disappointing take on something you liked as a kid, but it's a commercial franchise. If your childhood is that invested in commercially licensed toys, you've got bigger problems than the quality of a summer action film, I'd have thought...

    (I have to say for the record that G.I. Joe looks like it will at least be a more watchable film than Transformers was, though admittedly that doesn't involve setting the bar very high)
