Just a quick question.I've just claimed back expenses from the VHI and I'm now in the process of completing the MED1 forms.I know you can only claim
back four years but does that include all of 2005.For EG if I have receipts from April 2005 can I claim them back?

Make sure you complete a seperate form for each year and for 2005 & 2006 subtract the 125 euros if just claiming for yourself or 250 if claiming for more than yourself. :)

There is no excess anymore so you just have to check when the excess was done away with, if you take it away the tax office will check the form anyway so you wont be done out of anything you are entitled to

the excess no longer Applies for claims submitted after 2007 Inclusive. Therefore prior to this deductions had to be made at your own expense.

Thanks for the advise.Bit of worked involved in getting all the receipts together and filling out the forms but hopefully it will be worth in the end.
