    Whats the story with all recent one post users? There is a lot of posts recently by user accounts that have been just set up and then the user disappears? Are regular Boards users afraid to come on here with their own account?

    Mods, please delete if appropriate.

    alot of members probs have a part of their name in there username.

    You know Foreign I have noticed it alot myself over in the Garda Recruitment threads. It used to happen alot more in the last year when recruitment was booming. You would see people sign up around the time of the supposed in-takes and then rarely heard from again. Now with the slow-down it ain't happening as much but it is still happening over there.

    I can think of several reasons for it happening but they would all just be assumptions and I have no actual proof so I'll keep my thoughts on the reasoning for it happening to myself :)

    That is true enough Techno. But if they are not from the Emergency Services I don't see why they would register a new account.

    Probably just being paranoid due to the recent "issues" that this forum had. It just seems that there were a lot of people visiting this forum that hadn't in the past (not that there is a problem with that) and now they don't seem to be around. And it could just be me but there have been several posts in old topics by new accounts.

    Hopefully they are not "One post wonders" looking for certain reactions but users who will contribute to the forum. I know it took me a while to start posting here so maybe it's just that.

    On a completely different topic, how do you pronounce your user name? It's had me stumped for years. :o
