    Hi All

I have a few items I can release back to the General Boards population - these are items that were reserved but are now back up for grabs but only a few of each remain.

The following are up for grabs:

3x SLA5520 WIRELESS MEDIA STREAMERS at €24.99 each
    2x MCD988 TWIN DECK DVD&CD 2.1 SYSTEM at €169.99 each
I also have a few LIVINGCOLOUR LED LAMPS available in either Smoked Black or Clear styles, yours for €99.99

Spec's on each can be found here -

    SLA5520/05
    www.p4c.philips.com/files/s/sla5520_05/sla5520_05_pss_eng.pdf

    MCD988
    www.p4c.philips.com/files/m/mcd988_05/mcd988_05_pss_eng.pdf

    LivingColour
    www.lighting.philips.com/microsite/living_colours

Dont forget we still have plenty of SCE4430 powerpacks at €19.99.

    www.p4c.philips.com/files/s/sce4430_05/sce4430_05_pss_eng.pdf

Took one of these on holiday recently. Fantastic unit as I only had to bring it and the little adaptor heads for a Nokia and Sony-Ericsson phones plus an iPod/USB cable, oh and the mini USB cable for the better half's point and shoot camera

That ment that I only had 1 charger instead of 4 that I'd normally be forced to carry with me (plus cuts down on the chances of leaving one behind in the hotel when you leave!)

A little bit of info on these can be found here..
    www.p4c.philips.com/files/s/sce4430_05/sce4430_05_pss_eng.pdf

As I have a good few of the Powerpacks you dont need to
pre-book/reserve one but DO MENTION YOU ARE FROM BOARDS when you call in as we are selling them (at a still cheap) €24.99 in store - Boardies get a little extra off!

The other items you'll need to post up on this thread to have them reserved - first come, first served!

Anyone need anymore info please post up you questions here and either myself or Nicola will answer them for you, or if you'd like to speak to a real live person (no press 1 for.... or phone call back systems here!) phone us on (01) 474 0788 and we'll be happy to help.

    have a good day

How much would it be to deliver to Sligo. Also will this work as a standalone unit or is it a peripheral for a bigger system.

    Hi Dingding

    It will cost €7.99 post+packing.
Its requires your PC to be Wireless compatible and the the SLA5520 plugs into your existing hifi via it's line/Aux in jacks on the back.

You can then stream your audio from the PC into your hifi.
oh and enjoy the world of Internet radio.

    Interested?
    Ash

Just remember - Temptation is good for the soul!

...Might be bad for the bank balance and possibly for domestic harmony but finding reasons to justify the purchase of a new toy keeps the mind sharp!

    I'll keep the deals coming....

Ash, are the remotes for the living colours IR or RF?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,957 ✭✭✭Richersounds.ie: Ashley

    Hi Nailer

The LivingColour remotes are RF, you dont need to be able to see the light to control it.

    Hi Dingatron

Bad news I'm afraid, the last SLA5520 has been collected.
Thats the end of those now - no more remain.

I do however have a few of the NP1100 at €69.99 if I can temp you with these?

    Cheers
    Ash

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,694 ✭✭✭Dingatron

Thanks Ash. I was checking those NP1100's out alright. Mrs Dingatron has thrown a spanner in the works though as she now wants a portable internet radio with speakers built in.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,957 ✭✭✭Richersounds.ie: Ashley

    No Worries.

I have a freecom Musicpal (and a RS SLA 5510). The Musicpal has a single small speaker built in and has a really great User Interface. I love the UI in terms of both the software and the controls - with a small number of draw backs, latest firmware crashes a bit and DLNA support is flacky (they may fix it). Apart from that the speaker is quite small and the sound is ... well ... not great. But perhaps fine for a kitchen if you using for radio and a little music. However you can connect external speakers too.

Not sure how the NP1100 compares to the SLA 5510 but I find the SLA painfully slow and the interface clunky at best. However they were great value and I'm not returning either of the two I bought.

Personally I'd love to try the "Roberts Stream202 WM202S DAB/WIFI Internet Radio" - which has built in FM receiver too and speakers. Can RS get these or the freecom unit ? Mind you sneaking another media player into the house could be tricky....
