These price reduction must be coming from Philips, because DID (I think) did a similar deal last week - €299 or something - same model too I think. There's a three page thread here about it..!

Aha. You may be on to something there alright. Still, I won't argue with the price, saying as the equivalent Samsung soundbar is still around €500.

And yeah, it's a got a coaxial digital audio input instead of the optical one, but as lazygit said, you can pick little signal converter boxes on the cheap to do the job.

Interested. How does that work out for you? Lack of an input for the PS3 was what was putting me off buying one of these.

anyone know how good the sound on these would be? Am thinkin of buying, is the sound far inferior to actual real surround speaker?

While it's never going to replicate a proper 5.1 experience, I think it really adds excellent ambience for our setup. The woofer has great kick too.

PS - I can see why they went with a coaxial digital audio. The majority of the audio connections are on the back of the woofer, obviously to limit how many wires you could have on display if you wall mount it. Therefore it's likely to be much cheaper to use a long phono cable for a digital audio feed than the equivalent length of fibre optic. Well that's my theory anyway...

They seem to have more stock now too. The floor area is covered with the boxes. By the way, the box is very large!

Haven't got one myself, thinking about picking one up.
