dvd player for mac

    I have a mac book pro. I use the generic dvd player that is installed in it but its brutal crap tbh. Can anyone recomend a free one i can download that is better. any recomendations would be greatly appreciated.

    Are you using Front Row or the DVD Player app? Prefer the latter myself.

    If neither tickles your fancy, try VLC Media Player (www.videolan.org).

    im using the dvd app. just find it awkward to use. il check out your recommendation ethernet,

    Another vote for VLC player. It handles most file types too if you want to play more than dvd's.

    I'd recommend using FairMount with VLC as VLC on its own can choke on some dvds. Details here.

    Prefer using niceplayer with the perian component for all media playback

    +1 VLC plays some unusual formats as well that you might come across in downloads from torrent site s
