Insulating a concrete floor from the top down

    i've a cold floor but it's not pratical to dig it up, is there any kind of covering or flooring I can get that will take the cold out of it that can be layed on the existing old concrete floor....

    you could possibly look to get a solid wood floor, which are normally laid on timber battons which you could put foil backed insulation between, might sort it for you but the level of the floor would end up being raised by bout 2inches.

    2x1 battons nailed to the concret with kingspan between them for a top job. Then a wooden floor laid on top of that.
