    Hello all,

So I'm looking for new road bike. Limit 1200. First and only choice of mine at the moment is Focus Cayo 105 from wiggle for 1170.

Plus I've learnt that there is something called bikescheme.ie introduced by green party and live since 1.1.2009. So as I understand if an employer agrees you can get bike up to 1000 that will be refunded by the state in lowering tax.

So I'm still talking to mine to participate in that.

    So two questions:

Any other bikes that are worth considering whithin this amount of money?
Anyone of you got bike in this bikescheme programme ?

    Thanks

Just in the interest of clarify, this scheme was introduced by the Government, not by the Green Party. The Greens did set up that website to publicise the scheme.

The first hurdle is to see if your employer is participating in the scheme. If not, give them a gentle nudge.

It was a Green Party initiative that the Government agreed to implement.

Yes I got that exact bike on the scheme in the last 2 months, also check out a Planet-X for an extra €200 or there is a nice Bianchi for about 999 sterling.
    :)

Or to be clearer - it was a UK Labour initiative that the Green Party copied and the Govt agreed to implement.

Fair enough - we've no problems with a good idea!
