    Hi everybody,

Once again the Leinster Motor Clubs Vintage and Veteran Rally is
on the 24th May 2009 starting from Kielys in Mount Merrion.

Here is a link to last years thread about it and it contains some reports
    from satisfied participants:

    http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055273416&highlight=leinster

Look forward to seeing as many boards.ie people there as possible.
As ever a good turnout is essential to the survival of this great event.

Entry forms and regulations are available to download on our website

    www.leinstermotorclub.ie

    Thanks,

    Dave

Will get along to Kielys for a look as i hope to get a classic before the summer is out.Interested in seeing how a run like this works.
Is there an age restriction on cars?
What car runs/shows are good to find classics for sale?

    Hi everyone,

Make you sure you come out and support this, the oldest Veteran, Vintage & Classic Car Rally in Ireland.

You don't need to be a member of the Leinster Motor Club to take part.

You don't have to take part in the average speed test either.

If you are coming along in a saloon car or just enjoying the scenary of Wicklow there is an observation test to keep families occupied if they wish.

All vehicles up to 1984 accepted (With proper road tax and insurance of course!)

I have attached a copy of the regs to this post so no excuses.

Looking forward to seeing you all there on the day.

    Denis

Any idea how many cars will be taking part?

I think we had about 50 last year, high 30's the year before.
We have a committee meeting Tues night so I should hear
how many entries are in by then,I think there were 19 in
    earlier in the week.

I hope to be there - I've a few small jobs to finish off on the car but should be back on the road for next weekend.

Great, look forward to seeing You there. Trying to get
out to do pictures for the observation run but the
weathers not great for photography !

Just a reminder about this event.
You can enter on the day but it would be good if You
bring the entry form filled out with You. It can be downloaded
    from www.leinstermotorclub.ie
Remember anything 1987 and older goes so come out for a
great spin and You might even win something !

Called up to Kiely's this morning to catch the start of this run.
There was a good turnout and excellent weather.
Did anyone here go on it or take any photos?

We had a great Rally yesterday, helped just a bit by great weather.
Turnout in the 30's probably not helped by Leinsters win on Sat !
As ever huge diversity in the entry, from a Sperry electric car to a
pair of Deloreans and just about everything in between !

Many thanks to all competitors, everybody who helped with the running
and organisation ,sponsors and everyone from Kielys in Mount Merrion,
Avondale House in Rathdrum and The Wicklow Arms in Delgany.
Special thanks and credit to John Bolton,Clerk of the Course who is
sadly stepping down after 8 fabulous years of building this event up.

Next year will see a new organising team in place, with new ideas aplenty.
They need YOUR help. If You have any ideas post them up,either here
or look at www.leinstermotorclub.ie and there should be a dedicated V+V
email address there. If You did'nt compete what put You off or what would
make You come out. How many other clubs are asking You what You want
    from a rally/run ?

    Thanks again,

Dave and all the Leinster team.
