I'm looking for a bit of advice here from you established and experienced tri club people:)
We want to get customised trisuits for our teeny tiny tri club in Lough Key (10 members at a push) and was wondering if any of you have recommendations.
    Looking at using these guys:
    www.carvalhocustom.com
They look pretty good on paper but does anyone know what kind of quality the suits are? Does anyone have any experience with using these or can you recommend anyone else?
    Advice much appreciated!

Hey - my club (phoenix) is probably smaller than yours and we got custom trisuits last year. We got ours from Spiuk. Good quality kit, very slow to deliver.

In my present club, and in other clubs and teams, I've dealt with lots of suppliers - if your plan is to get gear for this season you're probably out of luck. Generally 6 week delivery - although its usually been months for us.

So whatever you are doing do it now!

(Important note: look at getting modesty panels around the crotch, costs a little more but to be honest its worth it (or so the wife says))

Thanks Tunney, these things are always left to the last bloody minute- our own event is September and most people are planning first event in July so think we'd be happy having them for then. Carvahlo reckon they can have them delivered in 4 weeks from sign off...hmmm, we'll see.
I'll have a look at Spuik though, someone else suggested them
    Cheers

The cycling forum have used http://www.carvalhocustom.com/ for kit so it might be worth a post over there to check out how long it took. I have one of the jerseys and they seem decent enough quality.

My cycling club use Carvahlo for our custom gear - we're all very impressed with the quality and the pricing is good too. We haven't gotten any of the tri-suits though.
A word on sizing - the stuff runs big. Most of the men in our club (even those 6ft+) are wearing medium jerseys but strangely need large jackets, the fit seems to be slightly different between them.

As the coordinator, I've found them very good to deal with too. Lead time is exactly as they say on the website (4 weeks) but one time we had them even quicker than that, think it depends on the time of year.

I like the quality of the carval stuff and it represents reasonable value for money so I would say go for it.

Awaiting delivery of our new club gear this week from www.endurasport.com The samples were good quality and prices seemed reasonable (buying for c. 30-40 members tho). Hope to have it in time for Valentia. Just another option if you want to sus them out for prices.
