Hi Wex,
would be interested in doing this myself also, would be nice to have the car for yourself the day after also my wedding venue is about an hour from the church so we would like a family member to drive us!
I have done a bit of research on this and to be honest I havnt come up with a whole pile, cars like merc can be rented from airports etc for around 500euro for 5 days which is good but you couldnt be sure of the spec of the car, let me know if you come up with anything....sorry cant be of more help!

Other thing to consider if you plan on having your friend/best man etc drive the car is that they have to be present with you when you collect it. The airport car hire companies will NOT allow a named driver on the paperwork unless they are present.
