Choice of car for test

I drive a one litre Yaris but the NCT is up on it. I booked it in a few weeks ago to do it but the only appointment they could give me was the end of May, which is after my driving test.
My bf drives a Passat 1.9 Diesel that I'm insured on too. I know I could pay to rent a Yaris from a driving instructor and use that for the test. I'm just wondering are larger engine cars more difficult to pass the test in? I really like driving the Passat but think the Yaris might be better for slower driving etc during the test?

Its really up to yourself, if you're comfortable driving the passat then go for that. So long as you're happy in the car then it should make absolutely no difference to your test. Just make sure you get practice in on the Passat and you'll be fine.
Alternatively you could push for a cancellation NCT test and try and get it done before the test?

I tried that today but no luck unfortunately. The crowd you deal with on the phone for the NCT are as ignorant! Might try again tomorrow and see if I get someone nicer. Actually have my grandparents car booked in to do the test next week so might try swap appointments but not sure if they'll let me.

Ok, thanks. I think I'll get a lesson in the Passat and see what the driving instructor has to say and what comments he makes and then decide. I know myself that I'm more confident driving the Yaris so I'm probably guilty of coasting while driving the Passat.
