just noticed that upc digital has added the following subscription channel on cable in Cork. TVX(adult); Zee tv(asian); Mutv(sport). These may have been available in other areas but not here before. Also uktvstyle has been renamed as home with a full e.p.g. listing.

What kind of programs are on HOME?

It's just a rebrand of UKTV Style, with a few added programmes and tweaks

It's probably not something I'd watch but good to see new channels get added. Hopefully there's more in the pipeline. :)

I would have watched the old style. I really want the UKTV food channel....here is hoping. Great to see a new channel, a welcome addition to the 500s.

Watch is the main one I want - when UKTV Gold became GOLD, a lot of its non-comedy programmes (as well as a lot of UKTV Drama's non-murder mystery programmes when it became Alibi) ended up there.

    I had hoped thats why 132 & 133 had been left blank...alas

btw you will need to reboot if you have the newer pace box to get 512 'Home' - no problem with older boxes

Also 999 Info TV is blank on both UPC boxes in Dublin today, 100 on the older boxes is still active

Isn't Home a rebrand rather than a new channel?

Yeah, it was previously known as UKTV Style.

Is the Manchester United channel on it for FREE now on UPC Digital in Dublin

It's both. The re-brand on Chorus coincided with it's launch on the NTL platform. UKTV Style was never on NTL. I believe there might be 1 or 2 other channels still on Chorus, missing from NTL.

Weird that there is no propper "food" channel on UPC, as there is everything else from rubbish erotic channels to even worse The DEN (WTF is this about anyway) but no propper food channel...

Completely agree... would really like a decent food channel. Dunno why, but love 'em. Lived on watching the Food Network when i was working in the States...
Come on UPC... a nice Food based channel would hit the spot just right! :)

Yes but the channel men and motors is gone from the 500,s here in Dublin.

proably no great loss but when did this happen?

Also I agree It was SO silly not to have added watch when uktv drama rebranded as Alibi and uktv Gold became G.O.L.D

Men and Motors has been gone for about a year I think at this stage. Think the channel shutdown so can't really fault upc there!

    I Should have been clearer.
Men&Motors is still alive on channel 178 on a sky digibox.(free to air)

It has disapeared(nearly sure it was there until very recently on UPC)

I am in Dublin and before the merger I was served by NTL.

    thanks&regards

Men and Motors was pulled from UPC in Dublin around March 2007 due to a contractual dispute ie money !

The 510 carried a 'channel not available' message for a few months before being scrapped

I don't understand why the 500 series of channels exists - I never go up that high so never look at them! What makes Bravo so different from the likes of Virgin1 etc.? Why don't they keep all the Discoveries together? It's a mess.

I asked them that once and I was told I should use the guide instead.

It is annoying I think, a few entertainment channels up where people don't think of looking.

Wife just telling Kerrang has just come on stream for us in Limerick ...715 , can't get to it by going up/down through the channels , have to go through the guide or type in 715 .

I've just noticed on UPC.ie that they now have a Digital Value pack. I am currently subscribed to Digital Select, but am gonna switch to Value. 7 euro less per month, cheaper than Analogue and it includes all the stations I'd watch, basically RTE, BBC, Film 4 and one or two others. Great!
