Just found my old Nintendo 64, so of course fired it up to play... But i only have an RF attachment, connected to my TV. It's on channel 36 at 590mhz, not that i'm good wirh TVs etc..

    so,
    1) Is there a way to improve the graphics quality any,
    and
    2) Is there a better channel/Freq. for it?

    _Kar.

    1) Yes there is. You can get an AV cable (yellow, white and red) connector which will give disgraceful picture quality but will be much better than RF. For some stupid reason Nintendo didn't include proper scart output on european N64's so no gorgeous RGB scart output :/ The only other drastic option is to get an american N64. You'll need to buy all your games again but you can get s-video output or RGB scart with an easy mod and also all the games will run at the correct speed without borders.

    2) Thats the only channel you can use. I suggest fine tuning it manually since some TV's don't autotune perfectly.

@Retrogamer is dead right. Options are sparse.

I would use a Gamecube AV Cable . I actually did the reverse and have a N64 RF cable in my daughters gamecube so she can have it in her room as TV only has one scart, and being 6 is happy enough with RF quality!!!

Jeez this is an old thread but, make sure, that if you get a scart connector that it fits your t.v properly because I bought a 2nd hand N64 years after selling mine and the scart that they gave me (gamecube scart) is too big to fit the t.v, so I will have to get the AV cable

The Gamecube scart cable won't work anyway. You'll get sound but no picture. As I said the N64 stupidly doesn't support scart. You can however use the GC AV cable if you can find it.
