    is it incredible? has it evolved much? i couldnt see the fin in that fossil...

    The seahorse's fin is made of soft tissue, which is unlikely to fossilize.

    I forgot to mention that the extinct species (Hippocampus sarmaticus) differs from modern seahorses in that it had a longer snout. All of the modern seahorses also belong to the genus Hippocampus, so they have not changed too much.
