A decent pair of pumps for work...

I was just wondering if anyone can tell me where to get a good supportive pair of flats? At the moment I just have pretty River Island and Topshop ones.

I walk in and out of work everyday and would have a bit of running around town to do as well. I have really high arches and get really sore shins when I'm walking in flats. I love my enormous heels and wear them in work etc but they're just not practical for walking 10k!

I've been threatening to invest and kept putting it off but yesterday I was practically limping by the time i reached the office.

I'd say I probably need a good pair of insoles too..

Functional and fashionable...is that too much to ask?

    Thanks

They should get you back on your feet quickly enough.

If you are just walking to work in them would you not wear a pair of runners before changing to your heels in work?

Hush puppies do super comfy work shoes - they sell them in Schuh and Office. They are usually just plain black or with a tiny bit of detail - not very fashionable but decent looking! I work on my feet all day and these are the comfiest shoes I own!

Wear runners in and out of work and keep a pair of flats under your desk too. That's what I do.

It's SO worth investing in a decent pair of pumps that are not wafer thin...even the topshop ones etc are rubbish in supporting... as suggested the Hush Puppy ones are great, these may not look inciting but are well comfy..not all are pumps but i find them great for work/college where lots of walking/standing is involved...
