Anyone else see this? It's not very good. Kind of got the impression from watching it that it was made by a bunch of 35 year old middle class film students who think poor people are hilarious.

It was an unpleasant film but not, I'm guessing, for the reason the film makers thought

I havent seen it, but i'm suessing it was just put out there as something similar to Paul Blart: Mall Cop. It has been nothing but worse and worse though from Seth Rogen, each film released just sucks that bit more than the last...

I AM however looking forward to Adventureland, another one from the creators of Superbad. Seen a trailer for it before I Love You Man was shown last night in UGC:)

Wrong. The only similarities are that they're both about Mall Cops.

Observe and Report is quite dark and misanthropic, Paul Blart is marshmallow fluff nonsense.

    awesome, awesome film

its in no way like Paul Blart
its a dark comedy, all the characters are messed up in one way or another

great to see Seth Rogen widing his range away from his stoner image

    great film,
    see it if you can

it's absolutely dire stuff. after about 20 minutes i was shifting around in my seat wanting it to end. it's easily one of the worst films i have ever seen.

    so..
rogen shoots a flasher, there's about 100 litres of blood on the floor (slight exaggeration), the dude not only doesn't die, but gets hauled of to jail despite losing copious amounts of blood and STILL doesn't die on the way there? why did ray liotta bring 15 cops to the mall to beat the crap out of him? what happened after that? rogen shagging a barely concious anna faris is supposed to be funny, and not date rape? casual heroin abuse? dear god why did this movie get made?

that was the most unpleasant two hours I've ever spent in a cinema. avoid like the ****ing plague.

he plays the EXACT same character in almost every movie, this one is no exception, only slightly angrier. and bipolar disease as a comedy vehicle? fuppin hell..

you've pretty much summed up my feelings on it there. The film seemed to have aspirations towards being something more artistic or worthy than it actually was. But the whole thing was just incredibly adolescent. and not adolescent in the fun fart humour, south park sort of way. It was adolescent in the attention seeking, directionless anger, needing to shock and p*** off daddy sort of way.

I've nothing against shock humour, but when a joke tries to be shocking and funny and fails at both, it's just a pointless waste of time

    +100

A complete ball of sh*te! Probably the worst film I've seen since Son of the Mask. Make it up as you go along plot and Seth Rogan playing the same character yet again - terrible.

I have to admit I giggled a bit at the ending, but overall it was total crap

What's the deal with people saying he's playing the same character he always plays? Ronnie is clearly a big step away from his other roles.

It wasn't a great film but I thought it was solid. The jokes were, for the most part, funny. It reminded me of Bad Santa a bit.
