England badly need a win in this series before going into the Ashes. Debuts for Tim Bresnan and Graham Onions and Bopara in at #3.

Do you think there will be a result on what has been a flat track the past while?

Saw the first few overs there and the pitch looked as flat as a pancake. One wicket has just fallen, Strauss, but I'd expect England to get a big score.

KP who will go down as the biggest failure of the IPL season went for a first ball duck today, sucks to be him I guess.England 225/5 as we speak, Bopara in the nervous 90's....

Frustration for the WI, after Edwards' excellent spell they could have England 7 or 8 down if they held their catches.

Bopara closing in on a ton but has riden his luck, given not out on a plumb lbw appeal and dropped also. Broad put down twice as well.

This is over, the West Indies are already following on and are two down with Gayle and Sarwan gone. Shiv is going to do have to do soemthing truly extraordinary to save this.

Well there goes shiv. 4 down and still 150 behind England. This will be over today.

It's as good as over now. Great stuff out of the England bowlers, gives me hope for at least a competitive Ashes series. I know the Aussies are a far cry from the Windies, but it's still a step in the right direction.

Having said all this the West Indies batting has been hopeless.

Pretty horrific collapse from WI alright. All stemmed from the 1st Day when they should've had England all out for less than 250.

Batting wise they cant seem to deal with any swing or seam at all and once Gayle, Sarawan and Shiv get out they rest fall like dominos. Would be surprised if it isn't wrapped up by Tea.

The consistent failure of Devon Smith to take capitalise on good starts is the most predictable and amusing things in cricket.
112/5 with Ramdin and the white Shiv at the crease.
