Heard them a lot on Paul McCloon's show and that song is ok but I agree, the voice is god awful. I thought it was a bad female vocalist til I saw pictures of them and realised there wasn't a female in sight. Heard another song a while later and the vocal melody was the exact same.
A lot of people a buying into them but I'm not sure.

yeah, I saw them live before and thought they were actually pretty enjoyable. But there was something about the ep that just made me think "This is Daniel Bedingfield for hipsters"

Agree absolutely, nowhere near worth the hype they've been generating recently

Started a thread about them over a month ago.http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055520474http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055520474

Personally, I think they're a pretty good new band.

I got the EP a few days ago and havn't stopped listening to them since. I find them really uplifting actually. Their concert was canceled a few weeks ago but apparently i never read the charter and got banned for a week.

I really like these guys. Saw them in Whelan's in March and they were excellent live. Chunk of Change EP is great. Especially 'I've Got Your Number'

Got the new album at the weekend. Only listened to it once so it's way too early to comment but liked what I heard

That's a GUY singing...?! I only know that tune with the high-pitched sample that sounds like Chris De Burgh's A Spaceman Came Travelling - presume that's Sleepyhead?

    Really like it anyway...

Yeah thats Sleepyhead. The high pitched sample in question is actually the irish-language song Óro mo Bháidin.

I only came across them last week so hadn't heard any of the hype about them, quite enjoyed a few of their tracks especially after a couple of listens.

I've been listening to the album for a few days now......liked it instantly.
    I think they're very good.

The sophomore LP seems to have slipped under the Boardsie Alt/Indie radar; I've streamed some of it on NPR and I dug it. Hardly breaking the frenetic sugar-rush mould that they fashioned on their first album but that's no bad thing; it seems to be a very accessible and instantly enjoyable effort. My favourite tune thus far is the second single:

Love the new album but not sure why they went for the above track as their new single. I can't recommend 'Carried Away' enough.
