My zip on my favourite jacket just broke. The part that slides into the zip broke off, any way to re-attach this? :)

    1. Buy a new jacket
    2. Sewing machine, new zip (and someone who can sew)
    3. Duck tape
    4. Leave the jacket open
    5. Wear a different jacket with a bumper sticker stay your other jackets zip broke
    6. Wear the jacket over your shoulder ala Miami Vice
    7. Pray for a good summer
    8. Meh

Where the jack back to front, no one will ever know.

Go to your local dry cleaners, most offer a repair service and will stick a new zip on for less than €20.

Cut out the middleman and go to an alterations centre or tailor. Very few dry cleaners do stuff like that on site. They contract someone local to do the work and just collect 25-50% for the arduous work of taking the jacket off you.

In other words, grab the Golden Pages and save yourself 5-10 euros by getting it done by the people who'd more than likely be doing it anyway. :)
