Hello all, it will be my first time at Thomond park for the Ospreys game in 2 weeks and i was wondering if you could help me out with a few questions i have.

Firstly, what is the parking situation like? My plan is to get up there early and park in the Jetland shopping center. Is this a good idea? Is there limits to how long you can stay there etc.? And is there a better option, i dont mind walking to be honest but ill be bringing my kids so parking as close as i can would be nice.

Secondly, my seats are in row QQ of the west stand. What is the view of the pitch like from there, its the very last row in my section i think so i was wondering if being so far from the pitch makes a difference.

Finally i would like to stay for the trophy presentation but with 3 kids would i be better off leaving straight away, or even a little earlier or would this even be an issue?

    Thanks for your help.

There is no limit in the Jetland but I think the car park closes when the supermarket does.I always find if you are coming from the Ennis Road side the best place to park is in Clareview. You can get pretty close to the stadium and it's usually a safe place to leave your car.Are you familiar with Limerick? If not I could give you rough directions.

It's a great view from there but for anybody who wears glasses they need to wear them otherwise it can be difficult to make out individual players.

I wouldn't encourage anybody to leave before the end of the game.I'd be inclined to stay for the trophy presentation but your kids could find it tough going being stuck in their seats for a long time so I think judging it on the night is the only way to go.I would say in terms of making it easier to get back to your car and back on the road it shouldn't matter much whether you wait or not.Surprisingly the traffic isn't ridiculously bad after games.

Enjoy the occassion, no matter how long it takes you to get home. This is from a Leinster supporter who has deep roots in Munster,

If the match is set to be a sellout I'd advise you to get there early and soak up a bit of atmosphere.

Isnt Clareview on the northern ring road? Would there be an issue with parking outside of residences?

My seats are generally up in row RR. They're pretty much right at the back of the west stand. But the view is perfect, the stadium is still small enough that you'll get a good view no matter where you are. I personally like being up higher, as it's easier to see whats going on at all ends of the pitch.

However, a fried of mine who hasn't the best of eyesight had trouble picking out players during the game.

Row Q is up at the back afaik(don't know the stands very well).. what section are you in? No matter where you are, you will have a good view.;)

DO NOT park in the Jetland car park.. it closes at 10pm.

Do stay for the presntation.. after all it is another piece of Munster history!

Not all of it, only the bit under Dunnes closes, the open-air carpark stays open all night.

Don't think security would be happy with having responsibility for a large number of cars that aren't using the centre. At the same time.. may not be the best place to park up regardless. If the lights aren't on those car parks are very dark.

You can go into Clareview on the turn between the Gaelic Grounds and O'Mara Motors.I have never had a problem with parking as there's lots of space in there. If you can find it you'd be looking to get to Lissadell Drive and just go around the corner and you will be practically on the Cratloe Road just down from Thomond.
