I need a new club for off the tee, and to take the place of the 3 and 4 off the fairway.

Should I be looking for a hybrid or a wood? Would a rescue club be of any use.

I currently have 1,3,4,5,6,7,8,9, pw, sw driver and putter.

You want a club to replace your 3 and 4 iron?

I have a TM rescue wood and I love it. It hits the ball higher than my 4 iron but I can shape the shot and hit a 3/4 shot much easier.

I'd go for one and then if you are happy, buy another.

    A 1 iron

Not many of them floating about.

I got the titleist 909h 19 degree rescue and I find it very easy to hit.

Thanks guys, what's the difference between a rescue club and a hybrid?

None AFAIK, it's just the way they are marketed.

I was thinking of one of these:

They seem to get great reviews and only €50 + they are made in Ireland...

Can anyone explain the lofts to me or recomend a club I should consider

Will a golf shop take two second hand clubs in trade in for a new one? I have a Mizuno 18* driving iron (perfect condition) & a big bertha that I no longer use...

MD Golf make great quality clubs at a decent price.
I've been using one of their 4-woods for years.

I find I hit my hybrid further than an iron with the same degree of loft.
    I use a 25° hybrid to replace a 22.5° 4-iron.
You would really need to try out a few on a simulator or at the range to see which one would best replace your 3 & 4 iron.
