Cheapest way to get a Specialized Rockhopper

Looking to get a Specialized Rockhopper but as cheap as possible - what's the best way? Trip up north? Buy online? See them in Dublin for 660, would like to find cheaper if possible...

Work are bringing in the cycle to work scheme in August, don't want to wait that long. Would also have to get accessories (starting again from scratch). Any suggestions?

Also - this is primarily for commute to work (about 5 miles each way) but would also like to try some trails too - is this complete overkill or recommended?

    Thanks!

Complete overkill if mainly used for commuting. Are you REALLY going to use it offroad, or are you just trying to justify it to yourself, knowing in your heart that you don't REALLY need it.?

Ha, I'm hoping / planning to do a bit of offroad also...

But regardless - where's the best place to get one?

That's a pretty good price for Dublin. Cycleways and The Cycle Inn are Specialized stockists so you should check out both. Also try McConveys in Belfast (http://www.mcconveycycles.com).

While it's a nice bike it's complete overkill for a 5 mile commute (suspension, disc brakes, fat tyres). You'd be as well to pick up a cheap commuter now and then get the MTB when the CTW scheme comes in.
