The gap between the boards on my deck has closed up completely.
can anyone suggest a remady for this???? tried taking them up again to space them out again but seeing as its been down 5 years all the screws are breaking off at the heads. Someone suggested usinga circular saw or router along the now non existant gap. Any other ideas?????

You are probably better off taking the boards up even if the screws are breaking. Do this while the gaps are closed i.e. before the boards dry out again. Relay allowing a suitable gap and you should have no more trouble
It will result in a better job all round than opening a gap with a saw etc
