the social welfare inspector called recently, he read out a list of alligations made by an unamed party against us, we asked who made the alligations he refused saying it was confidintal information, is it possible under the freedom of information act to find out who made the alligations , thanks in advance.

no, because the information of who turned you in isn't information about you, but about someone else, which you have no right to know.

    You are entitled to know

{a} the nature of the charge against you

{b} the gravity/effect of the charge against you

{c} the time you have allowed to appeal against them
