Miss Kittin and the Hacker

Just a little rant about Sunday's Miss Kittin & the Hacker gig in Andrews Lane. The promoters for the gig were Remedy & tickets in advance were €26.90+booking fee. Turned up on the night & tickets were €15 on the door & no sign of a refund for those with advance tickets. We put our email addresses on a mailing list & were told we could get in free to a Remedy gig of our choice in the future.

2 days later, still no email from Remedy and no gigs listed on their website. I go to a lot of gigs in Dublin & this is the 1st time I've ever heard of this happening - obviously it was to do with demand for tickets but it seems a bit unfair on people who booked in advance. Is it just tough luck on those?

Personally I feel that Remedy gigs are overpriced and after this I doubt I'll be going to anymore of them.

i was over in London at the weekend, and not only were Miss Kittin & The Hacker playing the same live set, but also had support from MSTRKRFT. it only cost £14.50 advance tickets, and £18 on the door. (which "translates" to €15.50 and €19 on the door) or thereabouts. its a shame that this happened, but im pretty sure its not the first time. basically, head abroad for gigs, try and get a cheap holiday out of it, cos you get way more bounce for your buck, and you wont be booted out at 2.30am when you're just getting going.:D

I'm in the same position as you Boosh.

I don't mind too much though. The way I see it, it was a great gig that I was willing to pay €26 for anyway, so the next gig free is just a bonus.

That said, I agree that it would have been nice to get an email to confirm the situation.
