Bassist/Double Bassist wanted

    The Unseen Guest are looking for a bass guitar and/or Double Bass player to replace a member who is going overseas.

    We have recorded two albums in India and are signed to a German record label. We make music that is sort of Nick Drake meets Tom Waits in a beach in Cuba type-a thing. Some of it's bluesy, some folky and so on.
    We are looking for a good groovy bass player - who will possibly play Double Bass on a few songs (Double Bass provided). Check out the music on http://www.myspace.com/unseenguest. And album reviews and press on http://www.unseenguest.com

    We'll be rehearsing and gigging around Dublin, so it would be best if you are from there or environs. Have got three albums worth of material written and recorded and are ready to go.

    Anything else you can bring to the table is more than welcome too - Backing vox or other instrument abilities. All a plus.

    say dec, met ya before with eoin...came up a few months ago..dog etc.. 4 days later met a friend who had just got a 3/4 double bass and had a long whack at it ..loved the feel etc and the std neck was terrific...unlike the tree trunk i had earlier tried that was ****e .. which left a lasting neg impression...trying since to find one to buy/borrow cheap.... are ya interested ?

    Been playing for about 15-20 years on and off but more on than....
    I like level 42, anything black, anything that feels melodic and got a groove to me is good
