Gaelcon2009 Promo Event in Dublin, TP Luthien

    In case we have any Battletech fans here. I know I'm one. It should provide some Fun Games of Mech on Mech action.

    As a promotional series of events in the run up to www.gaelcon.com 2009 in October, the Dublin Games Guild in association with Models Inc. in Dublin will be running the complete Turning Points: Luthien campaign pack.

    Each month a battle from the scenario pack will be fought out in Models Inc. to promote both the game of Battletech to both new and old players alike and to generate interest for the convention. The final battle in the series between the Word of Blakes 32nd Division and the Ghost Bears Rho Galaxy will be fought on the Monday at Gaelcon using the Quick Strike rules and all the battles are open to everyone who might be interested.

    Full models, maps and rulebooks will be provided at each events and battle reports and photos from the games will be posted here on the site in the Battle Reports section. The full timetable (preliminary) is as follows.

    Saturday May 16th: Game 1 - Traitors Kiss

    2nd Sword of Light rebels v. Otomo and 2nd Sword Loyalists.

    Saturday June 20th Game 2 - Bullet in the Blue Sky

    2nd Sword & 6th Benjamin v. Genyosha, WOB 9th Div, Sathen's Snipers

    Saturday July 18th Game 3 - Feline Ferocity

    Nova Cats Xi Galaxy v. 42nd Shadow Div.

    Saturday August 15th Game 4 - Tunnel Rats

    WOB 32nd Div v. 40th Dieron, 2nd Sword of light rebels.

    Saturday September 19th Game 5 - Light Machine

    42nd Shadow, 40th Dieron, 2nd Sword of Light rebels v. Genyosha, Otomo, 2nd Sword of Light Loyalists.

    Gaelcon 2009 October bank holiday weekend.

    Game 6 - Damnation

    Ghost Bears Rho Galaxy v. WOB 32nd Div. (quick Strike Rules)

    The specific dates may vary but we will try to keep people informed if any do, anyone who wishes to take part and needs help with accomodation or more information of when and where can PM myself or can contact Models Inc. in Dublin.

    Should be fun.
    The guys running it are really trying to pull out all the stops for Btech this year at Gaelcon.
    I do enjoy the Big robot smashing.

    We're going to try something rather original for this with Heavymetal Map providing a bombed out ruined landscape and the Radiological Envirionment Rules from Tac Ops in play to add a little spice. As always any and all comers are welcome to join in the mayhem.
