Quick question - Can one of the newer netbooks with integrated mobile broadband be used with 3 mobile broadband - i.e. do you just take the sim out and insert it in the laptop (after installing the software using the usb dongle?) Thanks

Thanks Jor El - is your "yes" just about using the sim in the laptop or does it include having to install the software via the dongle first?

Also, and maybe this is a silly question, will my 3Pay Mobile sim (from my 3 phone) which I have a monthly 1 gig allowance (€9.99 a month) work with the dongle/integrated laptop?

    Thanks.

any data sim should work, but whether or not you are happy with .005kb/sec speeds is another thing entirely

I don't understand you and am happy with the higher speeds I am getting than the speeds you are referring to.

What I am asking is can I use an "ordinary 3 mobile phone sim" out of my 3 phone in the modem and use the MOBILE phone surfing 1 gig add-on (€10 per month for 1 gig) as opposed to the modem pay as u go charges.

    thanks.

you are not supposed to but it does work BUT if india notices they will block you from using the mobile internet add-on for your laptop

The SIM is the same, so nothing is stopping it from working, bar the operator putting a block on your account.
