Quickest online store to deliver?

I've had some difficulties with deliveries from Wiggle (3 week wait for orders!). Others I know say they've never had any (usually 1 week, max 10 days). I've also ordered on Chainreaction and Ribble and my stuff arrived within a week. What's the general feeling out there on the delivery speed, which is the quickest online store to deliver? The options provided are the ones I have experience with. If I'm missing out on something please let me know.

Chain reaction with courier shipping (free over a certain amount) Order in the morning and delivered the next morning.

Seems to depend on the postie for me. In Dundrum some things took aaages to arrive, irrespective of where they were ordered from. In Naas, stuff seems to arrive quickly.

Chainreactions are usually quicker than Wiggle.

I'm always suprised how quick chain reactions are.

It seems beyond the wit of man to transport anything over the Irish Sea in under five days.

With that in mind, Wiggle seem as good as you'd expect (if the stuff is in stock).

I've had issues with both CRC and Wiggle where they've said stuff is in stock and it isn't, in the case of Wiggle I get an update and an apology, in the case of CRC I got one tyre (out of two) delivered, eventually.

I've saving my single Michelin Pro Grip 3 for some special occasion. Maybe it'll rain on the WW200.

I've used CRC, Wiggle and PBK. Have an order in with Ribble just today.

Generally it would go CRC > Wiggle > PBK but it is pretty variable. I have had stuff (including complete bikes) shockingly fast from Wiggle. PBK are also normally fine, I've just had one thing that got a bit lost and was apparently opened by customs or An Post.

I would class all of these three under "very good."

CRC are without doubt the fastest delivery of all the major online retailers. As mentioned above, 24hours with the courier service, and 2 or 3 days without.

I've occasionaly experienced delays with wiggle alright. In fact... that reminds me...

40 inner tubes, nothing terribly exciting :)

My sample size for Wiggle/CRC/PBK is around 35/25/10 orders BTW.

Are you sure those Ultremos are as good as you make out?

Half are for me.... better to buy in bulk and pay 2.50ish a tube than have to spend 6-8 for 'em when you're desperate!

Are these the Continental Race 28 tubes? Can't believe the price on Ribble. I'm paying I was paying €20 for 3 tubes in CCS.

I went for the Vittoria Ultralites (£1.83/tube) as I like them and they are a bit smaller but those Continental ones are even cheaper (£1.62/tube!) Now I feel had :)

@Lumen- I have more bikes on Continental tyres than Ultremos!

I've 'raced' CRC vs Wiggle vs PBK on orders before (obviously not on the same items) - CRC always wins, Wiggle turns up a few days later and PBK came in last.

seems like CRC all the way then....

    + 1

I ordered some gear in the adfternoon and it arrived by lunchtime the next day, I presume because they are based in Ireland it helps.

Pearsons took 3 weeks to deliver a bike to me earlier this year.

CRC are generally a day or two faster than Wiggle, PBK maybe a day or two behind that... But I wouldn't be making my mind up on where to shop based on whether I am going to get something in 2 or 5 days. Wiggle has the best customer service I reckon. Unfortunately their prices are getting less and less competitive.

Wiggle vouchers are becoming a must for all purchases now.

Slane Cycles in Belfast are also very quick. You'll have it in a day or two. I've been quite impressed with their customer service too. Aside from Parkers in the UK, they are the only crowd who'll ring you up to tell you if there's a problem with your order. They're also very quick to answer e-mail queries. In short, they are my new favourite online retailer.

stuff coming from Ireland (THE WHOLE ISLAND) is fast but the UK postal system in the UK itself is painfully slow.Slane cycles and crc are up North hence speedy delivery but anything else can be horifficly slow.Makes you appreciate our postal system (except the bills come way too fast)

+1. Ordered a DeMarchi contour plus, online prices were ~90 euro and got it for ~60 euro back in january. Got the wrong size, clicked the wrong button and emailed them, just had to pay to post it back and they sent me back the right size without charging more postage. Emailed to say how pleased I was with their customer service and got a very nice email saying how appreciated such comments were and made their days that much easier. Thought that was quite nice. Also only took 2 days to deliver each time.

Ordered stuff there from "the big 3". PBK arrived first, followed by CRC and wiggle. I think Gav is right and much of it depends on the post as they all dispatched within 1 working day. CRC have always been very quick for me, first time using PBK and quite impressed although I still dislike the website.

Love CRC, ordered a whole loads of theings on monday and got it all this morning.

They must have someone very creative working in their mailroom thought, my stuff always arrives in all sort of funny shaped packaging...

And sometimes they arrive with sweets.

I generally find CRC best with Wiggle a close second and have only ordered once from PBK so it would be unfair to comment. I ordered a Topeak Tribag last Friday from CRC. It was sent via post and it arrived today. Very happy with that

CRC quickest in my epxerience - I usually get stuff delivered to work and that seems to help with speed of delivery.

Got a couple of kids bikes recently and they arrived within 24 hours!!! It caught me by surprise because they sometimes take longer to deliver a pair of socks!!!

Wiggle are not bad considering they've a bit further to travel.

Ordered some stuff a few weeks ago: CRC, Wiggle, PBK and Ebay seller (those carbon bottle cages)

1st: PBK (Very impressed - ~45 euro for 2 folding gatorskins)
2nd:CRC (Got my pedros bike lust, foolishly ordered 950ml, will last me a few bikes I reckon).
3rd: Ebay dude (Very well packaged)
4th: Wiggle (slowest from them ever, I only ordered 2 sets of brake pads)

that crc via royal mail though rather than parcel force? CRC has yet to take over 24hrs for me... only had 1 order from wiggle and it arrived in 7 days(it was a bike though i guess and citylink/targetexpress admitting to screwing up the delivery portion 'I guess its probably here, though the computer says it isn't, let me go look')

My first order made with Ribble on the 5th may now has an order status of "in picking" and it's the 12th. Great first impression.
