How does Pacquiao go from this to destroying De La Hoya & Hatton

Manny first defeat by a guy with 11 wins, 4 losses and 4 draws: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LS4Obboqaec (KO at 6:47)

    Second defeat:

Being floored by Nedal Hussein (although he got up to win)

If you had watched any of these and someone had told you that the same fighter would go on to retire De La Hoya and demolish Hatton you'd have said they were mad.

So what can it be put down to, obviously in the first 2 defeats he was very young and probably weight drained and was still a long way from teaming up with Freddie Roach but it is still a remarkable turnaround in his career.

The first two KO defeats also go some way to explaining why Roach seemed so concerned about Pacman getting hit to the body in the first episode of 24-7.
    Failed to load the poll.
