Has anyone tried putting Ubuntu on their PS3?

Just wondering what the point is? Can I get firefox on my PS3 using it?

I put Yellow Dog Linux on my PS3. Its a version specifically created for the PS3. I was worth it at the time as I was able to play all of my movie files. However, seeing as the PS3 now plays most of them, I don't need it anymore.

I also upgraded my HDD and haven't bothered yet to put YDL back on. I don't think I will as there isn't much point.

And yes, Firefox on the PS3 works... slowly.

Cool cheers for the replys. No point putting it on so. Especially if firefox is slow.
