hello. here's the story. i am a 46 year old guy, who, believe it or not, wants to put a band/group/ music collective together. now, let me clarify, it's not a wedding band (been there), it's not a paying gig (in fact it may cost a few bob to rehearse)at the moment it's all my own originals, but this could develop. if, like me, you were once trying to make it with your band (or bands) and for whatever reason, it didn't happen, and then life just carried on, and next minute, blam!!, you're in your forties wondering what the f*@k happened there!!? then, you get the urge back and you're suddenly writing songs again, and you think, "well why not?". well if any of this rings a bell with you, this could be the band for you. maybe you have a little time on your hands, still have that deep down love of music, and are s*@t at golf... what have you got to lose.? now, you don't have to be forty or more, the reason i mentioned my age, is that, if you are, say, an 18-20 year old musician, with a beard, and a hat etc., you may be more suited to a band in your own age group who may share the same interests and energy levels as yourself, but hey, i don't want to be ageist here..
anyway, i am looking at you bass players, in particular, but, i am open to anyone who plays anything, keys, computers, bits of stick with a string attached, washboards, etc. i already have a drummer,(andy, who is the drummer in the brilliantly monikered CLASHJAMWALLOP) and one guitarist( dave, who used to be in an emotional fish, you know). i have a myspace page here, www.myspace.com/paulyb63 so you can hear some of the songs i have, which were recorded in my shed, and it'll give you an idea of the kind of musical background i'm coming from.
i'm based in lucan, but that don't really matter as we have the m50 to play with..
so, thats it, if any of this makes sense to you, give us a shout and we'll see what happens...
